A day in the life…

Whilst no two days are quite the same here, we endeavour to stick to a broad timetable to get the children used to routine.  Here is an example of a typical day in the life at St Paul’s Walden Nursery.

9.00am Arrival

Children find their own name at the Registration table

9.10am Free Play

Children are free to explore different activites

9.30am Welcome Circle Time

Over 3s  – Days of the week  and activities for the day

9.30 - 10.00am Snack Time

Children enjoy a healthy snack

10.30 - 10.50am Adult-led Activities

Children will be led in their groups with their key worker

11.00 - 11.45am Garden

Free play in the garden in (almost) all weather!

11.45 - 11.55am Circle Time

Time for stories and songs

12.00pm - Lunch Club

Morning session ends.  Lunch Club for those staying.

1.00pm - Afternoon Session starts

Circle Time and registration followed by Free Play

1.30 - 1.50pm - Adult-led Activities

Adult-led activities in Key Groups

1.50 - 2.30pm - Snack Time

Tidy Up time, handwashing and rolling snack time

2.20-2.50pm Garden

Free play in the garden in (almost) all weather!

3pm Home Time

End of day.  Children will have a final story on the carpet before their grown-ups arrive.
